Each of you are a voice. Together we are a choir, a powerful choir of change that circles the globe with love.

WELCOME,

Choir in the Shire is a musical choir based in the heart of Shrewsbury, Shropshire.

Set up in 2017, Choir in the Shire was originally known as 'Wigle Parent Choir' but due to growing popularity (and demand from 'non-Wigle' members), in 2020 it became known as Choir in the Shire.

At Choir in the Shire our ethos is simple... sing, have fun and make new friends!

The Choir is run by James Broxton who is is a highly sought after vocal tutor, talent coach and professional performer with over 15 years experience. James is also the co-owner and director of the multi award-winning musical Theatre Company 'Get Your Wigle On' and 'Choir in the Shire'.

Interested in joining?

Choir in the Shire runs at 7.15pm on Monday evenings at the new Wigle Studios (1-2 Princess Street), in Shrewsbury's town centre. The Choir is open to singers of all abilities aged 18+. If you love to sing, are looking to make friends and join a new social group - this is the choir for you!

 HENRY WADSWORTH LONGFELLOW

"Music, once admitted to the soul, becomes a sort of spirit, and never dies."

EDWARD BULWER-LYTTON

"I don't sing because I'm happy; I'm happy because I sing!"

WILLIAM JAMES
